A summer place, kept the way we'd want to find it.
We are Daniela and Sylvain. We rent the rooftop apartment of a small four-unit villa in Salento — the one with the long terrace, a private garden and parking, and a view straight to the Gulf of Gallipoli — to a few families a season.

On foot · golden hour
The sunset walk
Set out along the coast between Santa Maria al Bagno and Santa Caterina as the sun drops into the Ionian — walk it slowly, or jog it if you'd rather. The light turns the water to gold and the whole gulf glows for a while before dark.

15 minutes on foot · wear trainers
Down to Porto Selvaggio
Fifteen minutes from the door, a path drops through the Aleppo pines to Porto Selvaggio's cove, where the water runs cold and clear. Swim, climb back up, and rinse off under the cold outdoor shower. Keep going and the fifteen-minute walk unfolds into three hours in the pine forest.

Stargazing on the rooftop
When the day cools, climb to the solarium and lie back. No screens — just the view, the sound of the pines and the crickets, and the faint breeze that makes a summer night on the roof worth staying up for.

Silence, peace, and the wonderful scent of pine mixed with the sea breeze. From the upper terrace there is a magnificent view over the pine treetops to the Ionian Sea with Gallipoli and the lighthouse in the distance. Fantastic place.
We've travelled many places — as a couple, as a family, as individuals or for work — and tried to bring back the best ideas for this villa. We want it to feel like a home away from home during your stay.

About us
A French-Italian family, three boys, one summer place.
Daniela was born and raised in Nardò. Sylvain is French, born and raised in France, lived in the UK for several years, and has been in Italy since 2006. We share the rooftop apartment with a few families each season.
